The Activist’s Guide to the Decentralized Social Universe: A Framework for Exploring How Decentralized Social Networks Can Support Collective Action
The study develops a framework to help activist communities navigate decentralized social networks by aligning their core needs with platform features, evaluates four DSNs for their sociotechnical tradeoffs, and explores how activists can select platforms that best support their organizing goals amid structural challenges.
